Supportive, affirming therapy for neurodiverse clients.
Being neurodivergent (ND) means we access and process information differently from how it’s typically done in our industrial societies. We're not better or worse—just different. Unfortunately, there has been little understanding or accommodation for these hidden differences.
As a therapist, I specialise in working with clients to build a positive sense of self and gain clarity on how they want to relate to the world. I will be alongside you, helping to build a positive and affirming way of being yourself.
While we may not be able to change the world (just yet)
together we can explore, and better understand, your world and how you want to live in it.
This includes addressing past events that may be holding you back, feelings of not fitting in with family or social groups and struggles within relationships.
I spent half of my life feeling that there was something wrong with me. If I could stop being lazy/thick/forgetful and work harder I might stop disappointing myself. Understanding and accepting my ADHD, and other NDs, made me passionate about helping others work towards positive self-acceptance.
Please reach me at jess@anotherway2b.co.uk if you cannot find an answer to your question.
A free 15-minute Zoom or telephone call before we begin gives us a chance to meet, discuss what you would like to get from therapy, and address any questions either of us might have.
